I am a certified yoga therapist with the International Association of Yoga Therapy and a 500 Hour Kripalu Yoga Teacher.
My private session work emphasizes preventive health (high blood pressure, diabetes, cholesterol, increasing bone density), managing mental health conditions (anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma, grief and loss), reducing chronic pain (back, neck, hips, shoulders), managing neurological conditions (multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's, dementia, stroke recovery) and corrective exercise (identifying muscle imbalances & movement compensations).
My group class work includes KRIPALU VINYASA YOGA, thoughtfully sequenced yoga postures building up to a peak pose while moving through the five levels of being - physical, energy, mental emotional, wisdom and joy.
I also hold certifications in Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra, Hypnotherapy, Reiki level 2, and Yoga Dance.
My yoga teaching and private session work is informed by twenty-eight years daily practice in yoga philosophy, meditation, breathwork and posture practice.
